A brief guide to Wild Camping

Shelter
Presuming you're going out in pretty placid conditions, then you can get away with buying a cheap tent, although if you plan on walking any distance with said accomodation then I really would suggest buying a 'proper' tent. Proper meaning you're going to be spending around £150 for a 2 man'er. I know that's a lot of money, but the difference in quality and more importantly, weight, between a really cheap one and something decent like a Vaude Hogan are simply to vast to bother comparing.
However, if, like me, you're starting out with next to no cash then a tent is wear you can shave some vital £'s. You might have to put up with a heavy rucksack, and possibly a slightly damp inner tent, but in reasonable weather you'll be fine and dry-ish.
